Hi, I'm Dr. Caceres, one of the owners of Sarasota Veterinary Services. I'm originally from Colombia, and I've always been excited by the human-animal bond and by caring for pets and their owners through team-oriented medicine.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
My wife, Brittany, and I have two dogs, Ruggs and an Irish Wolfhound named Coffee. In my spare time I enjoy kayaking, mountain biking, reading, and music.
Why I Chose This Profession
I wanted to be a veterinarian from childhood, when I would go on farm calls with my uncle, who was a local mixed animal practitioner. Seeing his work with animals and their owners set me on this path early, and I have never wanted to do anything else.
Education
I graduated in 2006 with my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the National University of Colombia in South America.
Professional Background
I have experience in mixed animal practice, shelter medicine, and herd health maintenance. I currently have a special interest in internal medicine and minimally invasive procedures, dentistry, and soft-tissue surgery.
